ELIAS KRANTZ
Elias Krantz's music draws from asymmetrical melodies and rhythms that, when combined, create a sound consisting of polar opposites - While it is dreamy, meditative and contemplative it is at the same time groovy as hell.
A wide range of instruments co-exist in perfect harmony while adhering to the principle of "less is more". When listening to the result it may be difficult not to be reminded of Krautrock-legends such as Neu!, Michael Rother and Cluster, just as well as modern American post-rock in the vein of Tortoise and German To Rococo Rot. Elias however makes use of a personal and unique musical language, in which jazz sensibilities sometimes shines through.

Elias has assembled a seven man band for live purposes. This band includes two drummers and two bassists and members from local Kraut bands Chicken El Diablo and Fuglesang, and is infused with an air of free improvisation. This all adds a uniqueness to each and every live show, and lends a harder edge to his own brand of dreamy post-rock.

Krautrock STHLM is a one day festival organized by Airwaves Music.
The aim of the festival is to highlight the contemporary Krautrock scene as a very much alive and constantly evolving phenomenon. 2007 saw the first installment of the festival which was a great success and featured Salvatore, Audionom, Chicken El Diablo, Fuglesang, Elias Krantz and Mackaper.
