Gothenburg's Ikons were formed in fall 2005 with diverse musical ambitions but with a shared interest in rhythm, noise and synthesizers. Combining krautrock and new wave sensibilities, Ikons play a hard and driving, monotonous rock music. Autobahn rhythms, swaths of feedback, Buzz-saw guitars and electronic elements go together in a sound that sometimes comes across as a more Teutonic Primal Scream. Other points of reference might be NEU!, Faust, Spacemen 3 and fellow Swedes Audionom.

Krautrock STHLM is a one day festival organized by Airwaves Music.
The aim of the festival is to highlight the contemporary Krautrock scene as a very much alive and constantly evolving phenomenon. 2007 saw the first installment of the festival which was a great success and featured Salvatore, Audionom, Chicken El Diablo, Fuglesang, Elias Krantz and Mackaper.
